ALMOST HOME original acrylic painting | 2024
The acrylic paintings in the Open Air Collection were inspired by the expansiveness found in wide-open natural settings, and the ability of nature to calm and center us.
A setting, pale yellow sun glimmers in stark contrast with a blazing coral and goldenrod sky streaked with deep periwinkle blues. Towering trees and lush greenery in spruce, emerald and deep evergreens frame the sky on both sides, reflected serenely in the misty lake below. Subtle gold highlights change with the angle of view. “Almost home” was created as part of the artist’s “Paint Joyfully” course, while final touches were added later.
Overall dimensions: 24” w x 18” h x 1.5” d
Painted on on 1.5” deep high-quality gallery-wrapped canvas
Wired and ready to hang; all sides are painted
Hand-signed by the artist on lower corner
