The acrylic paintings in the Gathering Collection were inspired by the warmth and beauty of the autumn season, and the joyful experiences that make up life’s most meaningful gifts.
A simple composition featuring a group of evergreens at sunset framed by a mountainous stretch of land in the background, the “magic” in Magic Hour happens in the sky and water reflected below. The clouds flow in patches of pink and coral, deep greys and rich periwinkles, teals and lavenders – showing themselves a second time on the calmly rippling lake surface. The sun gives its last light through tree branches, punctuating the piece with strong lines in soft yellows and golds.
