The acrylic paintings in the Gathering Collection were inspired by the warmth and beauty of the autumn season, and the joyful experiences that make up life’s most meaningful gifts.
Candescent offers a distinctive look at a grouping of deciduous trees at the start of the fall season, painted in salmon, coral, and terra cotta tones where the sunrise meets the treetops. Shaded portions of the trees are represented in rich olive greens and deep teals, as wild branches follow curvaceous lines downward. The trees are met at the bottom of the composition by a row of shaded evergreens, illuminated at their tops by the rising sun. A rich periwinkle sky is painted in free-flowing wide strokes at the top, fading to a soft celadon green sky near the horizon.
